Mobile Diagnostics Available in Lielvārde on September 1
On September 1 from 10:00 to 17:00, mobile diagnostics – mammography and X-ray – will be available at Raiņa iela 5, Lielvārde, near the outpatient clinic. Prior appointment is required.
Residents of Lielvārde will have the opportunity to undergo diagnostic examinations without traveling to larger cities on September 1. From 10:00 to 17:00 at Raiņa iela 5, near the outpatient clinic, a mobile diagnostic unit will offer mammography and X-ray services.
To use this service, an appointment must be made in advance by calling 25431313 on weekdays from 8:00 to 18:00.
The cost of mammography depends on the type of referral. With an invitation letter from the National Health Service (NHS), the examination is free. With a referral from a general practitioner or specialist who has a contract with the NHS, the fee is €3.00. However, if the referral is from a doctor without an NHS contract, the cost is €42.00.
An X-ray examination (lungs, joints, etc.) in one projection with a GP referral costs €22.00.
