Man in Lielvārde photographs and harasses woman without permission
Police in Lielvārde responded to a report that a man entered a woman's private property without permission and photographed her. She has since filed for temporary protection through the courts.
On the evening of August 12, at around 10 p.m., police received a call to Ziedu Street in Lielvārde. A woman reported that a man had entered her private property without permission and photographed her, as well as causing her other distress.
By the time officers arrived at the scene, the man had already left.
Prior separation order had expired
The investigation found that an acquaintance of the woman had previously been subject to a one-day police separation order. However, that order had already expired by the time of the incident, meaning the man was not formally violating an active restriction.
The woman told police she had already filed an application with the court for temporary protection against the man, but had not yet received a court ruling. Officers advised her to reapply to the court to move the process forward.
Officers contacted the man by phone
Police also called the acquaintance named by the woman and explained to him the legal rules governing separation and protection orders.
Following their assessment, officers concluded that the woman was not under immediate threat at that time, and no further police intervention was required for the moment.
