Lielvārde's young floorball players take silver at Mily Latvian Cup
Lielvārde's youth floorball team lost the final to Kocēni on penalty shots, finishing second in a ten-team Latvian Cup tournament.

Lielvārde's youth floorball team has won silver medals at the Mily Latvian Cup tournament after losing the final to the Kocēni team.
A tight final
In regulation time, the Lielvārde players twice took the lead — first 1:0, then 2:1 — with goals scored by Miķelis Bergmanis and Reinis Stabiņš. Kocēni managed to equalize both times, and regulation ended in a hard-fought 2:2 draw.
The winner had to be decided in a penalty shot series, where Kocēni proved more successful, winning 3:2.
Second place among ten teams
The tournament featured ten teams, and Lielvārde's young players earned a respectable second place. The team's roster included Ričards Plinta, Valters Gailis, Reinis Stabiņš, Toms Jānis Everss, Miķelis Bergmanis, Ali Amirli, Patriks Skudra, Renārs Uzoliņš, Marats Līcītis, Olivers Feldmanis, Raivo Kārkliņš and Teodors Mesters. The team was coached by Kaspars Kreimanis, with Ainars Puķītis, Gatis Heidingers and Luīza Taube serving as team representatives.
