Liepāja invites disabled adults to sign up for free health days
Liepāja municipality and company "OnPlate" are organizing free health-promotion days for adults with disabilities from September 14–16 in Ziemupe, with advance registration required.
The Liepāja city municipality, together with the company "OnPlate", is holding a health-promotion event for adults with disabilities from September 14 to 16. The three-day program will take place at the social rehabilitation and educational center "Dvēseles veldzes dārzs" in Ziemupe, which will also provide overnight accommodation and meals served several times a day.
The venue is adapted for people with disabilities, and transport to and from the location will be arranged if needed. The program includes lectures, masterclasses and practical sessions on physical activity, healthy nutrition and mental health promotion. Activities will be adjusted to participants' different types of disability and their physical and psycho-emotional readiness.
The schedule also includes interactive sessions for developing cognitive skills, creative workshops, quizzes, and physical activities both indoors and outdoors.
How to register
Participation is free of charge, but space is limited to 20 participants, admitted on a first-come basis. To register, send a text message to phone number 25652569 with your first name, last name, age and the keyword "Ziemupe". Those accepted will receive a confirmation text message and later a call from the "OnPlate" project coordinator.
Participants are asked to bring a reusable water bottle, comfortable clothing and personal hygiene items, since the event includes overnight accommodation. Further questions can be directed to "OnPlate" representative Ieva Kļaviņa by email or phone.
