Liepāja calls for entries to fifth stage of “Smilšu Bums” beach volleyball tournament

On August 18 at 17:00, the beach volleyball courts of the Liepāja Tennis Hall at Liedaga Street 7 will host the next stage of the Liepāja open beach volleyball championship “Smilšu Bums,” this time named “PIZZA SHOP.” It marks the fifth stage of this summer's season. The tournament has been organized for the sixth consecutive year by the Volleyball Club “Liepāja,” with support from the city of Liepāja.

This stage will be played in a “bring your own partner” format, meaning participants choose their own teammate for either a men's or women's pair. Both experienced and beginner-level players are welcome to take part. The overall season winner will be determined by combined results across all stages.

Participant categories

Players are divided into three groups: PRO, experienced players who train regularly and compete in various events; AMATEURS, who enjoy volleyball but do not consider themselves ready to compete against more experienced players; and VETERANS, players aged 40 and older who play three-on-three matches determined by draw.

Winners of each stage receive surprise prizes from the tournament's supporters, while spectators can expect music, contests and inflatable attractions for children.

Registration is mandatory and must be completed by 20:00 on August 17. The entry fee is €15 per player per stage.
