New Rock and Pop Music Competition 'Sound Revolution' to Take Place in Liepāja
On July 2, 2026, the Tipogrāfijas creative quarter in Liepāja will host 'Sound Revolution', a competition for emerging rock and pop bands from Latvia and the Baltics. Applications are open until June 25.
The Tipogrāfijas creative quarter in Liepāja will organize a new competition for rock and pop music groups called "Sound Revolution" on July 2, 2026. The event aims to discover new talents, promote original music, and give young musicians a chance to perform in a professional setting.
The competition program begins at 11:00 AM with performances and jury evaluation. The jury includes musician and songwriter Jānis Narkevics, "Sudden Lights" manager Linda Āboliņa, and musician and producer Edgars Āboliņš. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at 8:00 PM, followed by a winners' concert and a social evening with DJ DRY.
The grand prize winners will have the opportunity to perform as the opening act at one of the concerts in the Tipogrāfijas creative quarter's 2026/2027 concert season. Additional prizes from partners and supporters are also planned.
New rock and pop groups are invited to apply by June 25, 2026, sending necessary information to info@trk.lv. The event is financially supported by the foundation "Liepāja 2027" and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
