Liepāja to hold meeting for city basketball championship participants
A meeting for team representatives will take place in Liepāja on September 28 to discuss the format of the next basketball championship. The tournament is planned to run from mid-October to the end of March.
Preparations have begun in Liepāja for the 2026/2027 city basketball championship. Tournament organizer Dāvis Plūme is inviting anyone interested in taking part in the new season to contact the organizers and register their team.
Meeting on September 28
Questions about the championship's competition format, structure and other organizational matters will be discussed at a meeting of team representatives. It is scheduled for September 28 at 18:00 in the Ozolu hall (2nd floor) of the LOC Olympic Center.
Those who are still only considering entering a team are also invited to attend. The meeting will offer a chance to learn more about how the tournament will run, its competition format and participation conditions, as well as to ask other related questions.
A long season cycle
According to current plans, the championship will start in the second half of October and continue until the end of March. This means teams will have nearly six months of games during which they will compete for the title of Liepāja city basketball champion.
