Liepāja played the second leg of the UEFA Conference League first qualifying round against Tuzi's Dečič in Montenegro on Wednesday. The match ended with a 2:1 victory for the visitors, giving them a 3:1 aggregate win over two legs.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Davor Kontič fired a powerful long-range shot into Liepāja's net. However, during stoppage time in the first half, Kivons Leidsman equalized from close range after receiving a pass from Barts Strālmanis.
In the second half, about 15 minutes after the restart, Felipe Kardozu put Liepāja ahead, and the team held on to the lead until the final whistle. In the first leg, Liepāja had won 1:0 at home while playing with a man down.
With this victory, Liepāja advances to the second qualifying round, where they will face Austria Vienna.
