On the day of the 15th Saeima parliamentary election, Liepāja saw a clear difference in voter traffic between polling stations across the city. So far, the busiest activity has been recorded at polling stations located in the city's central area, where turnout has been noticeably higher than at other stations in Liepāja.

At the same time, a significant share of Liepāja residents had already made their choice before election day itself began. Latvia's voting system allows voters, in addition to casting ballots on election day, to deposit their completed ballot for safekeeping in advance. In Liepāja, more than 5,000 residents took advantage of this option, pointing to considerable interest in taking part in the 15th Saeima election ahead of the official voting day.

As a result, voter participation in Liepāja has unfolded in two stages: a large number of ballots were submitted in advance, while on election day itself the main flow of voters has concentrated at polling stations in the city centre. Elsewhere in the city, voter traffic has been comparatively quieter than in the centre.

Data on voter turnout continues to be gathered and compiled throughout election day, and the picture at individual polling stations may still change before voting concludes.
