Liepāja to offer €30 grant for children starting first grade
All children starting school in Liepāja's general education institutions this year will be able to receive a €30 grant after September 1, the city's Social Service told LETA.
The Liepāja municipality will provide a €30 grant to all children who will begin first grade this autumn at any of the city's general education schools, Liepāja Social Service public relations specialist Gunta Jākobsone told the LETA news agency.
The grant will become available after September 1, when children officially start their school year. The support is intended to help families cover costs associated with starting school.
According to the information provided to LETA, the grant applies to all first-graders enrolled in Liepāja's general education schools, regardless of family income or other additional criteria.
