Liepāja Hospital Welcomes 300th Newborn of the Year
Liepāja Regional Hospital celebrated its 300th baby of the year on June 30. The hospital highlights its family-friendly environment and free private rooms for new mothers.

Liepāja Regional Hospital’s Maternity Department welcomed its 300th newborn of the year on June 30. The family was congratulated by board member Andris Vistiņš, who wished them health, peace, and confidence as they begin their new life together, and the baby a future full of safety and love.
The hospital emphasizes that all new mothers receive free single rooms to ensure a calm and family-oriented atmosphere. This allows parents to rest and bond with their baby without unnecessary noise or disruption.
In June alone, 44 babies were born at the hospital – 20 girls and 24 boys. Upon discharge, families receive a special gift package containing a sleep blanket shaped like a bunny and a newborn card.
Medical staff note that each birth is a unique moment, reminding them of the true purpose of their work: creating a safe environment where families can meet their newborn. The department thanks all families for their trust and wishes them health and many beautiful moments together.
