Now in its second year, the Seaside Cinema Village in Liepupe has brought together young people for a creative film workshop, conceived by documentary director Ivars Zviedris. The central rule: create a film in one week.

This year's workshop is co-led by director Linda Olte. In an interview on Latvian Radio 1's "Kultūras rondo", Olte shared that participants not only work through the night on their film shots but also push their own boundaries. Olte, who knows firsthand what it means to forego sleep for a perfect shot, noted that the young filmmakers were capturing night scenes at three in the morning.

The Seaside Cinema Village is a space designed to connect people with cinema and the filmmaking process. The workshop offers youth the chance to test their skills in filmmaking and gain hands-on experience. Over the course of the week, they must produce a complete film, from concept to final cut.
