Nearly two weeks after a destructive storm hit Lithuania on August 22, power supply has still not been restored to an estimated 2,500 customers as of Friday.

Deadline missed twice

The company "Energy Distribution Operator" had originally promised that electricity would be fully restored by last Saturday. When that deadline was not met, the company pushed the target back to this Thursday. Based on the number of customers still without power on Friday, that revised deadline also appears not to have been fully met.

The available information does not specify the full extent of the storm damage or provide further details on when the remaining outages are expected to be resolved.
