Lithuania to raise minimum wage for second consecutive year
The Lithuanian government has decided to increase the minimum wage to 1245 euros gross from 2027, an 8% rise from this year. Over two years, the increase will be nearly 20%, affecting about 140,000 workers.
Lithuania is set to significantly raise its minimum wage for the second year in a row. The government approved a plan to increase it by 8% next year, bringing the gross minimum wage to 1245 euros. Earlier this year, the wage was already raised by 11%, meaning a total increase of 207 euros or almost 20% over two years. The change will affect approximately 140,000 employees, who will receive at least 902 euros net per month after taxes. The decision was reported by Latvijas Televīzija.
