Lithuania, Poland, and France to hold military exercises near Russia's border
From June 16 to 26, the international exercise 'Gallant Boar 2026' will take place near the Suwałki Gap, involving Lithuanian, Polish, and French troops to enhance coordination and combat readiness.

The international military exercise 'Gallant Boar 2026' will be conducted from June 16 to 26 in the strategically important area near the Suwałki Gap. Lithuanian troops will train alongside soldiers from the Polish and French armed forces. The primary objective is to improve coordination among allied forces and their ability to conduct joint operations. Special emphasis will be placed on enhancing combat readiness and refining skills necessary for the rapid and effective defense of this geographically critical corridor.
On June 10, it was reported that Germany's new tank brigade in Lithuania had begun its first combat exercises in the Baltic state. Additionally, at the end of May, Italy announced it would deploy about 100 soldiers and several fighter jets to Romania as part of a mission to train Romanian forces in countering threats from Russia.
