Lithuania investigates Facebook post inciting violent overthrow of state sovereignty
Lithuania's Prosecutor General's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into a Facebook post by the account 'Celofano mobingas' that allegedly incites violent violation of state sovereignty and assistance to another state acting against Lithuania.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Lithuania announced on Thursday that a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding a post published on a Facebook account. The office believes the post may contain a call to violently breach Lithuania's sovereignty and provide aid to another state in actions against Lithuania.
The account 'Celofano mobingas' on July 1 published a video in which an unidentified person claims in Russian that Russia is compiling lists of military targets in the Baltic states. The person also suggested this could be preparation for a full-scale military campaign against the Baltic states.
The post included text in Lithuanian and Russian. In Lithuanian, it stated: 'At the same time, we are starting to create a list of people whom Russia could deport from Lithuania.' The Russian text read: 'No thanks – in gratitude, a wagon of beef and pork for each.' Below the text, a list of 66 well-known Lithuanian individuals with full names was published.
The investigation is led by the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office and has been assigned to the Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau. Law enforcement will gather additional data to conduct a thorough assessment.
