Lithuania and Poland absorb only a tenth of attempted Belarus border crossings
Since January, about 9,100 attempts to cross the EU's Belarus border have been recorded, with Lithuania and Poland together absorbing only a tenth.

According to reports, since January this year, approximately 9,100 attempts have been recorded to illegally cross the European Union's border with Belarus. Out of these attempts, Lithuania and Poland have together absorbed only about a tenth, or roughly 910 cases. This indicates disproportionate pressure on other EU member states that share a border with Belarus. The exact distribution of the remaining attempts among countries has not been disclosed, but the data highlights that the Lithuanian and Polish borders are not the main pressure point. The situation reflects Belarus's hybrid threat strategy aimed at destabilizing the EU.
