Residents' councils begin work in Limbaži Municipality
Residents' councils in Limbaži Municipality have started working. In the areas where they were set up, leaders have already been elected and working meetings are under way.
Residents' councils have begun operating in Limbaži Municipality. In every territory where councils were established after the first elections, the leadership has already been chosen and working meetings are starting to take place.
Councils have been formed in Liepupe, Salacgrīva, Pāle, Viļķene and Staicele, and now also in Skulte. At their meetings, members discuss specific issues that matter to local residents.
The newspaper Auseklis has previously reported on the creation of the residents' councils for Liepupe parish, as well as for Salacgrīva town and parish. More information is available in the newspaper and its e-edition.
As the headline of the publication indicates, in some places councils are still being formed, while elsewhere they are already at work.
