Latvian javelin thrower Līna Mūze-Sirmā has shared joyful news on social media – she has become a mother. She posted a message saying "Welcome to the world, little one" along with a blue heart emoji, indicating the birth of a baby boy.
Mūze-Sirmā is one of Latvia's leading javelin throwers, regularly competing in major international events. She has represented Latvia at the Olympic Games and World Championships, and in 2023 she won the European Games in Krakow.
Her husband, Zigismunds Sirmais, is also a javelin thrower. He became European champion in 2016 in Amsterdam with a personal best. The family has now grown, and the couple is receiving congratulations from fans and fellow athletes.
