Linda Leen releases final part of her «Waves» trilogy, with two Riga concerts planned
Latvian singer Linda Leen has released «WAVES III / III», the third part of her mini-album trilogy «Waves», featuring six new songs. Two concerts wrapping up the trilogy will be held at Hanzas Perons on Saturday, 17 October.

Latvian singer Linda Leen has released the third and final part of her mini-album trilogy «Waves», titled «WAVES III / III», which contains six new songs. This Saturday, 17 October, two concerts summing up the trilogy will take place on the same day at the Riga venue Hanzas Perons. With the new release, the singer's autobiographical musical novel, created over the course of this year, is complete.
The course of the trilogy
The first part came out in January. It included the already familiar song «Magnētiskā vētra», the single «Total Affection» released last December, and four previously unheard compositions. The second part, released in May, featured the song «Hold Me Close» and two unreleased tracks.
The third part includes «Ēdenes dārza pirmais koks», a song in Latvian released in early October; the other tracks are in English. It also features «Right Now», a piece already popular at her concerts.
Reviewer's assessment
The reviewer for the Latvian outlet NRA considers the third part the most characteristic of Linda's genre. He names «The Great Boomerang» and the slightly rock-leaning «Woman With A Man's Spirit» as the most interesting and subjectively most appealing, and also speaks well of «Fight Club» and «Melancholy». He describes «Ēdenes dārza pirmais koks» as a concession to radio stations.
The artist's words and the concert
Linda Leen says that fifteen different women's stories were born over the year, and that the overall mood of the music is a melancholic euphoria. The sound design of the third part was created with producer Gatis Zaķis, with whom she previously worked on the album «Digital Church» (2017), the song «Magnētiskā vētra» (2024) and the second part of the trilogy.
At the concert, all parts of the trilogy will be combined into one programme for the first time, alongside familiar songs including «Magnētiskā vētra», «Blue Monday» and «Uzar mani kā zemi». On stage with the singer will be guitarists Miķelis Putniņš and Rihards Lībietis, bassist Kristians Priekulis and drummer Rūdolfs Daņiļēvičs.
