Lipšāns transitions from external advisor to staff legal consultant in Kulberg's office

Prime Minister Kulberg has issued an order, published in the official gazette "Latvijas Vēstnesis", releasing Mārtiņš Lipšāns from his external advisory role on legal matters. As Kulberg's communications advisor Elīna Šverna confirmed to LETA, the order was necessary because Lipšāns has become a legal consultant on the staff.

In the Prime Minister's office, Lipšāns is responsible for issues related to the "Rail Baltica" railway project. He became Kulberg's external advisor shortly after the Prime Minister was confirmed in office.

Lipšāns serves on the board of the Auto Association, which was led by Kulberg for many years. He also acted as a consultant to the parliamentary investigation committee on Rail Baltica, chaired by Kulberg. Previously, Lipšāns served as the parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Welfare under minister Ramona Petraviča, and in the 2019 European Parliament elections, he ran as a candidate for the party "KPV LV".

It was previously reported that the Saeima approved the new government on May 28, led by Kulberg. The coalition consists of the United List, the National Alliance, the New Unity, and the Union of Greens and Farmers.
