National Library and Librarians' Association to screen documentary on freedom of speech

The Latvian National Library (LNB), together with the Latvian Librarians' Association (LBB), is inviting the public to free screenings of the documentary "Librarians" in early September. The screenings will take place on September 5 and 8 in the LNB's Ziedonis Hall.
The documentary focuses on the struggle of librarians and the broader public in the United States for democratic values and freedom of speech. It addresses issues related to access to diverse information and the importance of such access in a democratic society.
