Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after vehicle hits pedestrians in London
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous driving after a vehicle struck multiple pedestrians in Ealing, west London, on Saturday, injuring five people. Police say the incident is not being treated as terrorism.

A suspect has been taken into custody following a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Ealing Broadway, west London, which left five people injured. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 pm on Saturday when a vehicle hit a group of pedestrians and then fled the scene. Three of the injured were taken to hospital, while two others received treatment at the scene. Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
The man, a British national of Somali origin, was arrested a short time later in nearby Grange Park on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempted murder. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that initial inquiries were conducted with the assistance of counter-terrorism officers, but the incident is not being treated as terrorism.
Road closures remain in place in the area as the investigation continues. Police are keeping an open mind regarding the motive but have stated that there is no indication of a terrorist link.
