LPV Announces Candidate Leaders for Saeima Elections
The party "Latvija pirmajā vietā" (LPV) has submitted its candidate list for the 15th Saeima elections, naming five regional leaders.

The party "Latvija pirmajā vietā" (LPV) has revealed the leaders of its candidate list for the upcoming 15th Saeima elections. Ainārs Šlesers, the party's candidate for prime minister, will lead the list in the Riga electoral district. He is followed by Riga City Council member Andrejs Klementjevs, pastor and former MP Ainars Baštiks, and former deputy chair of the "Harmony" party Regīna Ločmele. The Riga list also includes boxer and Riga City Council member Mairis Briedis (number 25), who was previously elected from the "Stabilitātei" party but left its faction. The list ends with former Riga port manager Leonīds Loginovs at number 43.
In the Vidzeme district, the list is led by Saeima deputy Linda Liepiņa, with Valka Municipal Council chair Vents Armands Krauklis as the second candidate. In Latgale, the leader is Aleksandrs Bartaševičs, the suspended mayor of Rēzekne and head of the "Kopā Latvijai" party. Former "Stabilitātei" deputies Viktorija Pleškāne, Jekaterina Drelinga, and Jeļena Kļaviņa, who joined LPV after leaving the faction, are also on the Latgale list at numbers two, three, and six respectively. Activist Olga Petkeviča is the fourth candidate.
For Kurzeme, the list is led by Saeima deputy Ramona Petraviča, and for Zemgale, by Saeima deputy Edmunds Zivtiņš.
Candidate submission began on June 20 and will continue until July 5. The 15th Saeima elections are scheduled for early October.
