Lubinets: Six Men Freed from Mykolaiv TCC, Systemic Violations Found
Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets stated that his office rescued six mobilized men from the Mykolaiv Regional Military Commissariat (TCC) due to human rights violations. Among them were a man with broken ribs, individuals with serious illnesses, and a father of a child with disabilities.

Ukraine's Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported on his Telegram channel that his office had to rescue several men from the Mykolaiv Regional Military Commissariat (TCC), where a number of human rights violations were discovered.
According to Lubinets, a man approached him saying that his brother's ribs were broken by police officers during mobilization, and the family lost contact with him for 18 days. When Ombudsman representatives arrived at the Mykolaiv TCC assembly point, it became clear that this was not an isolated incident – multiple facts indicated systemic violations.
Among the six freed men were: a man with broken ribs who has legal grounds for deferment because he cares for his 80-year-old mother; two men with serious illnesses; a man with viral hepatitis; a man with knee problems; and a father of a child with disabilities.
Lubinets also described a disturbing incident during the arrest: a police officer allegedly kicked the son of the detained man. The boy, who has diabetes, was left alone on the street in the evening, and his condition worsened due to stress.
The prosecutor's office has initiated a pre-trial investigation. The Ombudsman sent notifications to the State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor's Office about possible abuse of office, illegal detention, and leaving a person in danger by police and TCC employees. He emphasized that the approach to mobilization needs immediate changes and that the so-called "busification" (forced conscription) must be stopped.
