Ludza Municipality Boosts Crisis Readiness with Generators and Water Tanks
The Ludza municipality has purchased diesel generators and drinking water tanks to improve civil protection and preparedness for emergencies related to security risks, natural disasters, and power outages.

The Ludza municipality has implemented a project to enhance the emergency preparedness of border communities. Due to increasing security threats, climate change-induced natural disasters, and power supply interruptions, the local government decided to acquire new drinking water tanks and diesel generators.
This step is part of efforts to strengthen civil defense capacity in the region. The newly acquired equipment will ensure that residents have access to water and electricity during crisis situations when normal supply is disrupted. The project aims to mitigate the impact of potential disasters on the local population and infrastructure.
