Luis Enrique extends contract with PSG until 2030

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced on Friday that head coach Luis Enrique has agreed to a three-year contract extension. The 56-year-old Spanish coach's previous deal had been set to expire at the end of this season, but it has now been extended until 2030.

The announcement came ahead of PSG's home league match against Monaco, with Enrique receiving loud applause from home fans following the news. The club also confirmed that five of its Champions League-winning players — Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz, Willian Pacho, Lucas Beraldo and Senny Mayulu — have signed new contracts with the club.

Success at the helm

Enrique took charge of PSG ahead of the 2023/24 season, tasked with delivering the club's long-awaited first Champions League title. He delivered in style, leading PSG to back-to-back Champions League triumphs over the past two seasons. In the 2025 final in Munich, PSG thrashed Inter Milan 5-0, while this spring they beat Arsenal 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw following extra time.

Beyond the European title, PSG have won the French league three times and the domestic cup twice under Enrique.

Background before PSG

Before joining PSG, Enrique managed Spain's national team from July 2018 to December 2022, with a brief break in autumn 2019. Under his guidance, Spain reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020 and the final of the 2021 UEFA Nations League. Over his coaching career, Enrique has also led Barcelona, Celta Vigo and Italian club AS Roma.
