Military recruitment officer fatally wounded in Lviv, attacker detained
A serviceman of Ukraine's territorial recruitment and social support center was fatally wounded while on duty in Lviv, and the attacker has already been detained by police. It marks the third such attack on recruitment center staff in the city recently.

The head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that a serviceman of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCK) was fatally wounded while performing his duties in Lviv. The attacker has already been detained by law enforcement.
Kozytskyi did not disclose details about the victim's identity, the possible motives behind the crime, or the circumstances of the incident. Police investigative and operational teams, along with other relevant services, are working at the scene.
Previous attacks
This is not the first such incident in Lviv recently. Earlier, at the intersection of Yefremov and Yaponska streets, a local resident stabbed a district recruitment center serviceman during a document check; the victim, a veteran, later died in hospital.
Subsequently, an armed attack also took place on Patona Street against a recruitment center notification officer, who died from a knife wound to the neck.
With this latest incident, Lviv has now seen several violent attacks this year targeting staff of the territorial recruitment centers, which are responsible for military conscription in Ukraine.
