Lviv Clash Participants Apologize, Pledge to Serve in Army
After a violent incident in Lviv where a crowd attacked a military recruitment vehicle, several participants apologized on video and committed to enlist.

Following a large-scale confrontation with Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) personnel in Lviv, several participants have released apology videos. Among them are an active serviceman who was on leave at the time and another man who promised to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine after proper training. The videos were posted by veteran Anton Petrivskyi and commander of the 2nd Assault Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Dmytro "Slip" Kukharchuk. Petrivskyi stated that a "educational conversation" was conducted with the participants. One video also shows minors whom Petrivskyi claims were involved in the clash. The veteran added that those who tore off a soldier's uniform are being sought, warning they will face "worse consequences." In another video published by Kukharchuk, a participant admitted to taking part in the attack on the TCC vehicle and expressed readiness to accept any punishment. The incident occurred on the evening of July 8 in Lviv during mobilization checks. A crowd surrounded, overturned, and damaged a TCC service vehicle after a man born in 1996, who had been wanted since June 12 for violating military registration rules, was checked and taken to the TCC. Another group of servicemen remained at the scene and was encircled by the crowd, which acted aggressively and damaged the vehicle. Officials including Presidential Office Head Kyrylo Budanov, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, and Military Ombudsman Olha Reshetylova condemned the attack and called for punishment of perpetrators. Police identified and detained a 23-year-old local resident suspected of assaulting a law enforcement officer. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Defense would handle the case.
