LVM Cyberattack: Intrusion Signs Detected on June 11; PM Criticizes Lack of Responsibility
Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs stated that suspicious activity in LVM systems was first detected on June 11, but the attack occurred on the night of June 22-23. He criticized the response from responsible institutions.

Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (United List) has revealed that signs of intrusion into the systems of AS "Latvijas Valsts meži" (LVM) were observed as early as June 11. On that day, initial suspicious activity was recorded, but the actual malicious operations took place during the night of June 22 to 23.
The Prime Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of accountability, emphasizing that the response to the threats was insufficient. He called for an assessment of why such a long gap occurred between the first signs and the attack, and pledged measures to improve cybersecurity in state-owned enterprises.
The cyberattack on LVM has caused widespread concern, and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators and assess the damage. Experts point out that such incidents highlight the need for stricter security protocols and faster reaction times.
