Lotte Tisenkopfa-Iltnere, co-founder of the cosmetics company Madara Cosmetics, has shared her views on the role of money and profit in business after two decades of entrepreneurship.

She emphasizes that profit is a crucial indicator of a company's health — if a business generates no profit and nothing is left over, something is seriously wrong. According to her, one of an entrepreneur's core tasks is precisely to grow wealth and value.

Money and pressure

While everyone occasionally worries about money, she notes that for entrepreneurs this stress is amplified, since they must take responsibility not only for themselves but also for others, such as employees. Tisenkopfa-Iltnere admits that even after years of experience and success, her attitude toward money still isn't completely free of tension.

Wealth beyond money

Still, she points out that monetary value is only one part of wealth, and while it matters, true wealth also includes quality of life. In her view, it's important not just to earn money, but also to consider how it is earned and what it is spent on.

The interview reflects a business leader's perspective that financial success and inner peace don't always go hand in hand, and that long-term business success depends both on profit and on the values behind earning it.
