Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition arrives on Apple Arcade August 7
EA Sports' football sim comes to Apple Arcade on August 7 for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, six days before console and PC releases.

Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition will debut on Apple Arcade on August 7, making it the first time the franchise appears on the subscription service. Subscribers can play on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV — six days before the game launches on consoles and PCs.
The Apple Arcade edition supports both controllers and touch controls. Player ratings will dynamically update based on real-life NFL performances. Alongside Quick Play, the game includes a Franchise mode where players take on the role of a general manager to build a Super Bowl-winning team.
No mention was made of an Ultimate Team mode, likely because Apple Arcade games do not include in-app purchases or ads. This game also marks Madden's return to Mac after 19 years; the last Madden title on Mac was NFL Madden 08, released in 2007.
Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition joins other sports titles on Apple Arcade such as NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition and Football Manager 26 Touch. Additionally, Retro Bowl College+, a spin-off of the 8-bit game Retro Bowl (originally released on iOS and Android in 2020), will arrive on the service on August 6.
