Madona to host first R&B Blues Festival
On July 3, a new festival celebrating blues, R&B, and rock will take place in Madona’s Saieta Square, featuring both Latvian and international artists.

For those tired of crowded city festivals, Latvia still offers intimate music events this summer focused on art and creativity. One such event is the first-ever R&B Blues Festival 2026, set for July 3 in Madona’s Saieta Square. The festival will feature a lineup of blues, R&B, and rock performances.
Artists include Ivars Pētersons with his band “Petersons Band”, the internationally recognized “Latvian Blues Band”, singer Aija Andrejeva, and the jazz-funk group “Very Cool People”. The latter will present a special program titled “Woodstock Renaissance”, a tribute to legendary figures Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Morrison, with their classics reimagined in a modern style. The festival’s special guest is Italian guitarist, singer, and songwriter Anthony Basso.
