The Madona Museum of Local History and Art invites people to the first meeting of the new season of its senior series “Dzīves un mākslas krāsās” on 21 October at noon. It is dedicated to the writer Osvalds Lācis.

The Madona Museum of Local History and Art in Latvia is inviting people, primarily seniors, to the first event of the new season of its meeting series “Dzīves un mākslas krāsās” (“In the Colours of Life and Art”). The meeting will take place on 21 October at 12:00.
This time the event is dedicated to the writer Osvalds Lācis (1901–1981). His life story is closely tied to the Madona and Cesvaine area, which makes the subject a local-history one.
What will be discussed
Local historian Dace Zvirgzdiņa will speak about the writer's life, his literary legacy and his connection with his native region.
With this meeting the museum restarts its series for seniors, which will continue through the new season.
The photograph of Osvalds Lācis comes from the publication “Tilts” (Nos. 148–149, 1975). The full original article is available to subscribers only.
