Six Crews with Latvian Riders to Start in Madona World Championship Round
The World Championship sidecar motocross round in Madona will feature 33 teams, including six crews with Latvian riders. The Lielbārži brothers, who won last year's Latvian round, are among the favorites.

At the end of July, on the 25th and 26th, the World Championship round for sidecar motocross will return to the "Smeceres sila" track in Madona. Organizers have announced the participant list, which includes 33 teams, with particular attention drawn to six crews that include Latvian riders.
Among the main favorites are brothers Daniels and Bruno Lielbārži, who triumphed at last year's Latvian round, delighting local fans. However, they are not the only home riders. Other Latvian crews confirmed are Rihards Rupeiks/Markuss Tučis, Emīls Tilaks/Elmārs Tilaks, and Kaspars Lubgāns/Mārtiņš Antons.
Latvian athletes will also appear in teams from other countries. Lithuanian pilot Jonas Pirtina will have Lotārs Aleksejevs as his passenger, while Estonian Markus Normaks will be assisted by Tomass Daniels Dukulis.
Before the Latvian round, another race is scheduled this weekend, July 18–19, in Strassbessenbach, Germany. Only the Lielbārži brothers will represent Latvia among the 40 teams entered.
Currently, the Lielbārži brothers sit eighth in the World Championship standings, 11 points behind seventh place. The leaders, Marvin Vanlušen and Ben van den Bogaart, have won four of the seven rounds and hold a 25-point lead over Kylian and Evan Prunier, who have two wins.
