This weekend, after a five-year hiatus, Irish fighter Conor McGregor will step back into the UFC octagon. He will face Max Holloway, whom he defeated once before in 2013.

McGregor last fought in the summer of 2021, suffering a serious leg fracture in a bout against Dustin Poirier. The athlete admitted to using substances during recovery that are prohibited for active competitors.

Since then, the Irishman has become a frequent target for anti-doping tests. This year alone, he has undergone 14 tests, the highest number among all 688 fighters in the UFC anti-doping database. The next fighter with the most tests in the first half of the year has only six. Meanwhile, McGregor's opponent Holloway has been tested only three times.

Both fighters have become UFC champions since their first meeting in 2013. Holloway has a professional record of 29 wins in 36 fights, while McGregor stands at 22 wins and six losses.
