Man Utd and Arsenal track Croatian striker Matanovic as Juventus eye Liverpool defender
Several Premier League clubs are monitoring Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic, while Juventus are interested in Liverpool defender Giovanni Leoni. Newcastle are ready to let Joe Willock leave in January.

English media have reported on a string of potential January transfer window moves across European football.
Strikers in demand
Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly among a growing number of clubs monitoring Freiburg's 23-year-old Croatian striker Igor Matanovic. Separately, Roma are hoping to land Real Madrid's 20-year-old Brazilian forward Endrick on a January loan, with the player himself keen to secure more playing time.
Defenders and midfielders on the move
Juventus are said to want Liverpool's 19-year-old defender Giovanni Leoni, as the Serie A club looks to increase the number of Italian players in its squad. Tottenham, meanwhile, have no intention of selling 25-year-old Dutch defender Micky van de Ven, even though Liverpool are expected to pursue him next year.
Newcastle United are willing to let 27-year-old midfielder Joe Willock depart in the January window, with his contract expiring in the summer and no talks yet opened on an extension. AC Milan are considering a move for Brighton's 22-year-old Swedish midfielder Yasin Ayari as a potential replacement for 41-year-old Luka Modric, should the veteran decide to retire.
Other developments
Brighton and Bournemouth have sent scouts to Medellin to watch 21-year-old Colombian centre-back Neider Parra, who plays for Atletico Nacional in his home country. Brighton chief executive Paul Barber has said the club has contingency plans in place in case bigger clubs target its top performers.
Icelandic goalkeeper Hakon Rafn Valdimarsson would consider leaving Brentford in future if his first-team opportunities remain limited. Barcelona are also preparing new contracts for Brazilian forward Raphinha along with young players Xavi Espart and Marc Bernal.
