Traffic closed on Māras Street in Jelgava until August 21 due to repairs
In Jelgava, a section of Māras Street from Lielā Street to Puķu Street is closed to vehicle traffic until August 21 for stormwater sewer collector repair works.

Jelgava municipal institution “Pilsētsaimniecība” has announced that from today until August 21, vehicle traffic will be closed on a section of Māras Street from Lielā Street to Puķu Street. The approximately 80-meter-long stretch is undergoing repairs to the stormwater sewer collector.
During the construction, traffic is being diverted via Lielā Street, Asteru Street, and Dambja Street. Access to the self-service car wash “Wash&Drive” is provided from Puķu Street. A pedestrian corridor, separated by barriers, has been created along the construction zone, connecting Māras Street with Lielā Street.
Local residents and emergency vehicles will be granted access to properties and facilities within the closed section via specially constructed access roads using Puķu Street and other adjacent streets.
