Actor Mark Wahlberg will join TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 in October for a fireside chat about his shift from Hollywood into business and investing, hosted by Keebeck Wealth Management's Bruce K. Lee. The conference runs October 13-15 in San Francisco.
Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, known for roles in films like "Boogie Nights" and "The Fighter," will appear at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 to discuss his transition from acting into entrepreneurship and investing. He is currently on screen in "By Any Means," a thriller set around the 1966 Mississippi civil rights killings.
A conversation about business, not movies
On the Disrupt main stage, Wahlberg will sit down with Bruce K. Lee, founder and CEO of Keebeck Wealth Management. Rather than focusing on his acting career, the discussion will center on how Wahlberg has spent the past two decades building a production company, a restaurant chain, apparel and fitness ventures, and a portfolio of angel investments. He also continues to run the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, a 25-year-old charity supporting inner-city children and teens.
From instinct to institutional discipline
During the session, Wahlberg plans to describe how, guided by Lee, he has built a more institutional approach to investing, with growing attention to healthcare and wellness startups. He is expected to speak candidly about mistakes commonly made by high-profile entertainers and athletes when investing, and about how he has used his career-built trust to gain access to deals.
TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 will take place October 13-15 at Moscone West in San Francisco, bringing together more than 10,000 tech industry attendees across over 200 sessions featuring more than 250 industry leaders.
