Mārupe seeks married couples celebrating golden or diamond wedding anniversaries
The Mārupe municipality's Civil Registry Office is inviting couples who have been married for 50 or 60 years this year to register for a special honoring ceremony. The event will take place on December 5 at the Mārupe Culture House.

The Civil Registry Office of Mārupe municipality is looking for couples celebrating their golden (50th) or diamond (60th) wedding anniversary this year, inviting them to a formal honoring ceremony. The tradition of honoring the municipality's long-married families was started in 2017, aiming to highlight long-term partnership as a value worth celebrating. The event, called "Honoring of Golden Wedding Couples," will be held on December 5 at the Mārupe Culture House. According to the Mārupe municipal government, the program will include congratulations, musical performances, and commemorative gifts for the honored couples. Attendees will have the chance to share memories, meet other anniversary couples, and receive warm wishes in a festive atmosphere.
