Mārupe Municipality Introduces Christmas Benefit of €50
The Mārupe Municipality council has adopted amendments introducing an annual Christmas benefit of €50 for specific groups of residents without means testing.

The Mārupe Municipality will start paying a Christmas benefit this year, according to amendments to the binding regulations on granting benefits without assessment of financial status.
The benefit amounts to €50 and will be paid once a year. Eligible recipients include single pensioners without legal dependents, adults with Group I or II disability since childhood, children from needy and low-income families, and politically repressed persons.
Applicants must have been continuously registered in the Mārupe Municipality for at least one year. Applications must be submitted to the Social Service from November 1 to November 30.
