Moscow complains of attack by more than four dozen drones overnight
The Russian capital was attacked by over 40 drones overnight, leading to restrictions at Moscow airports.

On the night of Monday, June 22, Moscow was attacked by more than four dozen drones. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported the neutralization of 27 drones initially, followed by another 16. As a result, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports suspended operations, while Sheremetyevo had imposed restrictions after 2:30. This is the second major drone attack night in two weeks – on June 18, Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya, causing a massive fire. Russian media called it the largest attack in the last two years. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna drew attention to a photo that went viral after the June 18 attack. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on recent strikes on Moscow, said that pressure on Russia to end the war must come not only from Ukrainians but also from Americans, Europeans, and Russians themselves. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, upon arriving at the EU summit in Brussels, stated that the massive drone attack on Moscow radically changes the course of the war in Ukraine's favor, but Russia has not yet shown readiness for negotiations.
