Moscow Mayor: 84 Drones Shot Down Over Moscow in Past 24 Hours
Russian authorities claim to have repelled a massive drone attack on Moscow, shooting down 84 unmanned aerial vehicles. The attack follows a heavy strike on the Moscow oil refinery on June 18.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that Russian air defense forces shot down 84 drones over the Russian capital in the past 24 hours. According to him, there were no casualties or damage.
Sobyanin began reporting the attack at 3 a.m. local time. Earlier on Monday, June 22, he had reported an attack by about 60 drones, which forced Moscow airports to impose restrictions.
This latest attack comes just days after Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya on June 18, causing a massive fire. Russian media described that strike as the largest in two years. Some Moscow residents complained of an "oil rain" following the explosion.
