The Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya will remain offline until at least the end of 2026 after Ukrainian drone attacks, according to two sources cited by Reuters. One source said repairs would take at least six months.
Ukrainian drones struck the refinery twice within a month, on June 16 and June 18, knocking out both primary oil processing units in succession.
The Kapotnya refinery is one of the largest oil processing facilities in Russia and a key fuel supplier for Moscow and the Moscow region.
