Air Defenses Shoot Down 16 Ukrainian Drones Approaching Moscow in Half an Hour
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that air defense forces shot down 16 Ukrainian drones heading for the capital on the afternoon of June 19. No casualties or damage were reported.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated via his Telegram channel that air defense units intercepted 16 Ukrainian drones approaching Moscow on the afternoon of June 19. His first report came at 12:11 p.m. Moscow time, with the latest update at 12:34 p.m. Sobyanin confirmed no casualties or damage from this attack.
The previous night and morning of June 18, Moscow and the Moscow region faced an attack by nearly 200 Ukrainian drones, the largest such assault on the Russian capital since the full-scale war began. During that attack, a refinery caught fire in Kapotnya, drones struck the Sadovod market and the Mega Belaya Dacha shopping center. Across various towns in the Moscow region, 17 people were injured, including two children.
