Meļņiks returns for Falkirk against Celtic, Šabala scores in Poland
Latvian footballer Meļņiks came on in the 78th minute as Falkirk hosted Celtic, while Valērijs Šabala scored for third-tier Polish side Chojniczanka.

Glasgow Celtic, having won 3:0 at home in the first leg, suffered a heavy 1:5 defeat away to Austria's LASK Linz in extra time, with Colombian forward Camilo Durán scoring twice within the first half hour for the home side.
In a separate match, a Latvian midfielder turned out for Falkirk in their home league game against Celtic. He was brought on in the 78th minute, shortly after Falkirk had pulled a goal back in the 72nd minute, though the team ultimately suffered a heavy defeat. The player, not yet 24, had been left out of the squad in the previous round against Motherwell but had played a full match at the start of the Scottish Premiership season. Falkirk earned one point from the fixture.
Šabala on target in Poland
In Poland's third-tier league, forward Valērijs Šabala scored for the second consecutive match. The Chojniczanka captain put his side ahead 1:0 in just the third minute, but the match against Klečevo ultimately ended level at 1:1. Chojniczanka now have seven points from six matches this season.
