Melniks leaves field with injury in Scottish League Cup match
Latvian national team midfielder Kirils Melniks was forced to leave the field early due to injury during a Scottish League Cup match between Falkirk and Alloa Athletic.

Kirils Melniks, the 23-year-old Latvian international midfielder, left the field in the 58th minute due to injury. Just seven minutes later, Alloa's 16-year-old Kyle Glasgow scored to level the match 1-1, netting his first professional goal.
Falkirk has four points from three group stage matches, placing them third. Their next League Cup match is on July 25, while the Premiership season begins on August 1.
