Mēness Aptieka Named Among Best Places to Work in International Ranking for Fifth Year
Mēness Aptieka received the international Best Places To Work certificate for the fifth time in 2026. The company says it is the only pharmaceutical care business in Latvia to have earned it repeatedly while improving its results.

Pharmacy chain Mēness Aptieka was awarded the international Best Places To Work certificate for the fifth time in 2026. The certificate is granted for employee well-being indicators within a company.
According to the company, it is the only pharmaceutical care business in Latvia to have won the certificate five years in a row while also improving its scores.
What the programme assesses
Best Places To Work is one of the most popular employer programmes in Europe, including among pharmaceutical companies. The certificate is awarded after evaluating employee satisfaction with management, values, personnel policy, pay and other benefits, colleagues and workplace atmosphere, work-life balance, and the company's impact on society.
Employee ratings
Over five years, the rating for equal opportunities for advancement has reached 94.5%. Ratings for gender pay equality have risen significantly, as has satisfaction with overall pay and support. Relationships with colleagues, teamwork, managers' honesty and ethics, understanding of employees' work and regular feedback continue to be rated highly. Scores for the clarity of the company's long-term strategy and open communication have also increased.
HR director Baiba Pedraudze says the benefits package includes competitive pay, health insurance, professional growth and training opportunities, and flexible working conditions.
Management board member Jeļena Petrišina stresses that Mēness Aptieka is one of the largest employers in the sector, providing jobs for more than 1,300 people across all regions of Latvia.
Other recognition
The company says it has been the most beloved pharmacy brand in Latvia for the 12th year in a row. It has also received recognition in the Society Integration Foundation's "Family-Friendly Workplace" programme, a repeat ICERTIAS international certification as a customer-friendly brand, and was named the most sustainable pharmacy brand in Latvia in the European Sustainable Brand Index.
