Mental health festival «Ogle» marks its sixth year as an annual tradition
The «Ogle» mental health festival is taking place on September 11–12 in Riga's Tallinas Street quarter, organized by an association founded after a family's tragic loss. What began as a single event has grown into an established yearly tradition.

A mental health awareness festival called «Ogle» is being held in Riga's Tallinas Street quarter on September 11 and 12. This year marks the sixth time the event has taken place, cementing its status as an annual tradition.
Origins of the association
The festival was founded by the «Ogle» mental health support association, established eight years ago by the Cepurītis family. The family decided to dedicate themselves to raising awareness about mental health after experiencing a tragic loss of their own. Out of that painful experience came a guiding principle for the association's work: to help ensure that others suffer less than they did.
From a single event to a tradition
The association's first public initiative was organizing a festival devoted to mental health. The idea resonated with the public, and the event has been repeated every year since. This year's festival is its sixth edition, showing that it has become a fixed part of the city's calendar of mental health-related events.
The «Ogle» festival now serves as one of the ways society engages with conversations about mental health, encouraging people to pay attention to both their own emotional wellbeing and that of others.
