Meta's Muse AI agent has gained native iPad support in its iOS app. The new version makes better use of the larger display and the improved multitasking features of iPadOS, while working much like the iPhone version.

The app launched about a month ago and spent several weeks as the top free app in Apple's App Store. A Mac version followed roughly a week after the mobile debut, extending the tool to desktop tasks such as organizing files. Muse is an agentic AI tool that Meta has positioned as a rival to OpenClaw, ChatGPT's Dots and Grok Bot.

Only a brief mention in the release notes

The iPad support appears as a single line at the bottom of the release notes, alongside other iPhone updates. Users can now connect Muse to additional software tools, including Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Zoom, Asana and Klaviyo. New connectors for apps such as Granola and Notion have also been added.

The latest changes target small business owners. They can give the agent a business goal, and it will autonomously plan marketing, client pitches and the development of new product pages.

A faster pace than Instagram

It took Meta 15 years to release a dedicated Instagram app for the iPad, whereas Muse received tablet support far sooner. This points to the company's strong backing for its AI initiatives.

Meta also recently announced a standalone, Tamagotchi-like device called the Muse Charm, which will run the agent without a smartphone. The company is also working on bringing Muse to its smart glasses.
